Texo Trade Services builds hall to handle in-house paper processing

Texo Trade Services (TTS) is adding a 700m2 production hall to its premises on the Gouwe Park industrial estate in Moordrecht, The Netherlands. Another 700m2 in the existing warehouse will be freed up for storage. Although TTS has grown significantly in recent years, the main reason for the expansion is that it is moving its paper-processing operations to Moordrecht.

TTS’s premises are already hugely complex, housing 1000 m2 of offices and showroom and 5000 m2 of warehouse space. The new production hall, which will house the paper winding/converting operations, means the company is ready for the future. An in-house paper processing capacity for sublimation and calendar protection paper of up to 330 centimetres wide will provide customers with a range of tangible benefits: a comprehensive stock of the best quality paper that is made in the EU using wood fibre from responsibly managed forests in compliance with FSC standards; having its own paper processing capacity so TTS can respond more quickly to customer demand and provide greater flexibility and delivery reliability, and being in a position to purchase full trucks of jumbo rolls in order to drive down procurement costs.

TTS aims to lead the way in corporate social responsibility and environmental awareness. That is why it is investing in energy-neutral premises and in recycling its waste flows, in addition to minimising its use of product packaging. Just like the rest of its premises, the production hall is completely energy-neutral; 300 additional solar panels are being fitted to the structure.

Introduction of 25 g/m2 PPX protection paper

Besides all the above features that set TTS apart from other paper suppliers, it can now offer its customers even more: TTS now supplies 25 g/m2 PPX protection paper. PPX is the best type of paper for protecting the calendar belt from ink contamination. The low weight of the paper means a roll of PPX is extra long, resulting in fewer roll changes. TTS’s production environment, where humidity is carefully controlled, ensures that PPX rolls are free of wrinkles. TTS stocks PPX throughout Europe, and in warehouses in the UK and Italy. It also ships rolls worldwide from its main warehouse in the Netherlands.
