Durst will be present at FESPA in Amsterdam with more than one news item

Making its debut on the manufacturer’s stand at the show, which is taking place from 12 to 15 October at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam, will be the new VR6D flatbed printer, its first joint appearance with Vanguard Digital Printing Systems, which it acquired a majority stake in last year. This machine is targeted at mid-range performance, features an attractive price/performance ratio, and can be configured for different applications due to its modular design.

Two more recently launched Durst machines will also be unveiled to the broad public for the first time at FESPA, under the company’s slogan ‘From Pixel to Output’.

These include the P5 350 HS, the high-speed version of the hybrid P5 350 printer. Covering a substrate width of 3.5m, the P5 350 HS can reach a maximum speed of 700sqm/hr.

Also on show will be the P5 TEX iSUB soft signage printer, which incorporates an integrated inline fixation system for direct printing on polyester fabrics to enable a single-stage printing process that is said to lead to greater efficiency and a significant increase in productivity.

This ‘one-step dye-sub’ printer specifically for soft signage applications will benefit from inline, one-step sublimation. This P5 TEX iSUB (picture) is currently in 24-7 production trials with Italian soft signage specialist ABS Group, but is available for order now.
It features integrated inline fusing for direct printing onto polyester fabrics, enabling a single operator to run the line. “No investment and no floor space is required for a calender. The Durst P5 TEX iSUB is operated by only one operator, and the process acceleration also increases our customers’ ability to deliver,” said Andrea Riccardi, Durst Group head of product management. The machine can also run standard transfer paper applications for offline fixing. Applications include soft signage, flags, blockout fabrics and lightboxes.

The iSUB contactless fixing technology combined with its specially developed Sublifix dye-sub inkset meant the line can produce vivid colours and precise image details thanks to the virtual elimination of blurring and bleeding. It can be configured with Durst’s Dualroll option to simultaneously run two rolls up to 1.6m.
