Mutoh to Showcase Direct to Object Printing at Psi 2018

Wide format printer manufacturer Mutoh will be exhibiting for the first time at the PSI 2018 show in Düsseldorf, the leading European trade show for the Promotional Product Industry, from 9-11 January 2018.  At its booth – Hall 12.1 – B32 – Mutoh will be exhibiting its solutions for direct printing onto a wide array of 2D and 3D promotional items as well as circular objects, and the money making flexibility these solutions can offer to distributors, suppliers and converters of promotional items.

Mutoh will showcase its ValueJet 426UF A3-size LED UV printer, the new  ValueJet 626UF A2 size 6-colour direct-to-object flatbed LED UV printer and the ValueJet 1638UH, a dual head/dual lamp 64” wide high quality LED UV printer for flexible and rigid substrate printing.

Visitors will be able to discover a range of applications made with Mutoh printers to inspire themselves with the multiple application possibilities on Mutoh equipment for the promotional product industry and the added value direct digital printing can offer next to pad printing and screen printing technologies.

The new ValueJet VJ-626UF is a 6-colour (CMYK, White, Varnish) A2-size flatbed LED UV printer.  A wide variety of solid materials and objects up to a thickness of 150 mm (5.9”) can be printed.

An optional rotary system enables the ValueJet 626UF to print on cylindrical objects with a diameter up to 120 mm and a length of 360 mm.

Offering a bed size of 594 x 483 mm (19” x 23.4”), the printer is targeted at short-run personalisation of gifts & gadgets, packaging prototypes, awards, specialty industrial items, labels, decals, signs, etc.

With print resolutions up to 1440×1440 dpi, the VJ-626UF printer has an integrated vacuum bed, an automatic table lifting system as well as an LED pointer to facilitate accurate media placement and origin point detection.  Thickness of the loaded object is also automatically measured.

The ValueJet 1638UH – 64” (165 cm) wide – is Mutoh’s first ever dual head LED UV printer delivering increased speed and cure performance.  The machine will print on a wide variety of rigid and flexible materials up to 15 mm thick and 15 kg (rigids) / 30 kg (rolls), including heat-sensitive, transparent and non white substrates.

Offering print resolutions up to 1440 x 1440 dpi, the printer utilises Mutoh’s unique VOC-free LED UV C, M, Y, K, white and varnish rigid or flex inks to produce high quality graphics for short viewing distances.  A luxurious or specialty finish of prints is possible thanks to custom varnish and embossing possibilities.

The ValueJet 1638UH printer recently won the award “Best 2017 Flatbed/Hybrid printer up to 20 sqm/h” attributed by the European Digital Press association (EDP).
